LENTIL RICE

Ingredients:
Rice, washed, soaked for 30 minutes) - 1 cup
Whole masoor(washed soaked for 30 minutes) - 1/4 cup
Whole moong (washed soaked for 30 minutes) - 1/4 cup
Ginger(grated) - 1 tsp
Green chilli(chopped) - 2
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Tumeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon-Clove powder -1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 1 tsp

Method:
Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
Allow to sizzle, add curry leaves.Add ginger, green chilli, and stir.
Add drained rice, moong, lentils.Stir for 2 minutes, add 4 cups hot water.
Add coriander powder,garam masala,cinnamon-clove powder,tumeric powder,salt and lemon juice, stir, bring to a boil.
Transfer the entire contents to a rice cooker or to a pressure cooker.
If using pressure cooker, allow for 3 whistles, remove from fire.Allow steam to settle, before opening cooker.
Transfer to serving dish, garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with curds, raitha.
